Mistra Bay located limits of St. Paul's Bay, a former base for seaplanes, saw the return of an amphibian aircraft!

In the World War II and even earlier Mistra Bay was used as an alternative base for seaplanes when the weather would not allow landing at Marsaxlokk, which was the main base.

The amphibian landed rwy 24 at Malta Intl Airport after arriving from LICC in the evening of Tuesday 3rd August 2004. The following morning we departed from the airport for a local flight and few minutes later we landed far out over the sea where we taxied slowly till arriving at Mistra Bay slipway.
